Fc Ameri Tbilisi won the the georgian cup again by a narrow 1-0 win against Zestafoni

FC Ameri Tbilisi defended the Georgian Cup on Saturday night after edging out FC Zestaponi with a 1-0 win.

Zestafoni was the better team at the beginning but missed good chances. Tatanashvili was the hero of the hour, scoring the only goal of the game on 61 minutes to give the club their second Georgian Cup win. The defeat compounded a miserable end to the season for Zestaponi who finished the league campaign with the same number of points as Ameri, but lost out on third place as a result of the Cup winners' greater number of victories.

It was Zestafonis third(!) consecutive defeat in the cup final having lost against Locomotive Tbilisi in 2005 and Fc Ameri last year. Zestafoni will participate in Uefa Intetoto cup
